COSMOSCOW 2020
11.09.2020-13.09.2020
Press release
In 2020, ASKERI GALLERY will present the works of its artists at Cosmoscow for the fourth time. This year ASKERI GALLERY focuses on the richness and diversity of the language of abstract art. The guests of the fair will be able to see the art works of three artists from different countries: the world famous and recognized master from South Korea, Kwan Yong Chan, the talented Moscow author, Gleb Skubachevsky, and the young painter from New York, Marcos Anziani, with whom the gallery began to cooperate in 2020 year. These unique and distinctive artists are united by a desire for sensual knowledge of the world through abstract compositions and forms embodied in their works of art.
The striking works of Marcos Anziani, painted on canvases, demonstrate the development of a line of lyrical abstraction with elements of expressionism, dating back to the search for the great masters of the 20th century. Compositions that are unlike anything by Gleb Skubachevsky are the result of the author's long-term research on the emergence of form in art and the possibilities of going beyond the traditional two-dimensional world of painting. Kwang Yong Chan's spectacular works, created using Korean silk paper, lead the viewer towards associative abstraction, which concentrates the experience of the collision of an oriental artist with the western world.
