Contemporary Art Fair |catalog| — a new fair with a new approach.
The initiated project of the Association gallery is today's short-term solidarity in the field of market art, organized with a horizontal approach: a market of participants for a market of participants.
The organizer of the prestige fair is the Association of Galleries (AGA). The initiators of the project are gallerists Dmitry Khankin, Alexander Sharov, Alina Kryukova and the founder of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art Sofia Trotsenko. The initiative was supported by the publishers of the conceptual project about art and style Black Square, Andrey Severilov and Valery Nosov.
|catalog| supports several areas of activity of Gallery Associations, the main one of which is the development of the Russian art market. As the most important institutions of contemporary art, fairs stimulate market growth not only in quantity, but also due to the regularity of their holding: |catalog| takes place twice a year in Moscow (spring and winter), and also plans to regularly organize fairs in different cities of Russia. This will make it possible to introduce and engage the widest audience in dialogue with the country’s contemporary art, and will open up new directions and local art scenes for Moscow collectors.
As part of the direction to increase the transparency of the art market, the Association of Galleries will present a document on pricing principles developed by leading experts at the opening of the fair, inviting the main players to discuss it. The fair itself will serve as a platform that follows the declared principles of transparency.
