Askeri Gallery presents Conor Mccreedy’s second personal exhibition in Moscow ‘Feelings’.
Conor Mccreedy is an artist famous for his abstract paintings, created with his personal registered color – Mccreedyblue.
Mccreedy was born in Johannesburg (South Africa). Since his early childhood he has been inspired by the African nature. Energy of the ocean became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the young artist, who has created his blue - Mccreedyblue.
Studying at the Pratt Institute in New York, Conor Mccreedy opened a solo exhibition at the New York Arts Club, becoming the youngest artists ever exhibited there.
In 2012 Conor Mccreedy held his solo exhibition ‘African ocean’ in Charles Bank Elizabeth Street Gallery (New York, USA) with great success, where the monumental work of Mccreedy ‘Secret movements’ goes to a private collection for more than $ 150 000. It was a record price for the artist under 30 years.
Conor Mccreedy now lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland. He has accomplished numerous collaborations with leading luxury brands such as Bulgari and Rolex. His works are in private and corporate collections in Europe, the USA, South Africa, Russia and China.
In 2017, Mccreedy’s work 'Indian Ocean' was sold for 31 250 $ USD at Sotheby's auction. After that, some other works were successfully sold at the German auction Koller.
This year Askeri Gallery shows new splash paintings. Mccreedy continues to work in the genre of abstraction, representing emotions through an expressive gesture. The connection between emotions and their visual expression formed the basis of the concept of the exhibition ‘FEELINGS’.
