HER NAME IS SUMMER
From October 5 to 21, Moscow's contemporary art gallery ASKERI GALLERY will run an exhibition by Russian artist Pavel Polyanski. A new series of works by the artist is a reflection on the past summer as one of the brightest and most saturated periods of the year. Summer is a symbol of the awakening of nature and man, an overt metaphor of freedom and dreams. Sign up for an excursion: https://askeri-gallery.timepad.ru/event/2192351/

Press release
As before, a beautiful female image is seminal in Polyansky's paintings. A special reality, filled with the illusion of infinite serenity and fantasy, forms around the image. Polanski's women are a true embodiment of summer heat and midday slumber, in which dreams and reality, the human and the natural world come together. In his new series the artist also makes active use of the image of a dog as a symbol of freedom, sincere joy and friendliness. As a representation of nature in the relationship between the natural and the man-made, the human and the animal, the dog (a real Dalmatian or an improved robot dog) becomes the link between these aspects of our world.
