Askeri Gallery opens Gleb Skubachevsky’s personal exhibition "In Regeneration" on April, 15th. "In Regeneration" is a new personal project by Gleb Skubachevsky. Gleb continues to develop the technique shown in the project "Anima Aliena" last year.   The new project’s caption reflects Skubachevsky’s attitude towards the artistic past and present of his country. The works represented in the gallery space are distinguished by black and white colors: there are geometric compositions inspired by the heritage of the Russian avant-garde art, which, perhaps, became the most striking phenomenon from Russia on the world fine art scene. Made in a recognizable author's technique 3D objects express the artist's interest in geometry, local basic colors and playing with texture. The project does not address nationalist ideas, rather it is a reflection on the local artistic context and attitude to tradition. "Regeneration" refers to the processes that are taking place in Russian art now, albeit on a micro scale. Revival is a process that brings us back to the achievements of avant-gardists, cubists, supremacists of the early 20th century, who influenced the development of world art. In my works I continue those traditions, interpreting them from the nowadays context", - says Gleb Skubachevsky.
