Press release
On July 12, the opening of the exhibition “Incoming Message” took place at ASKERI GALLERY. The event was dedicated to the birthday of the founder of ASKERI GALLERY, Polina Askeri. The new exhibition featured works by two authors: the Russian artist Pavel Kiselev and the American artist originally from the Dominican Republic, Marcos Anziani. Both masters devote their works to the representation of important social and psychological themes, using a kind of artistic code. Abstract forms, including silhouettes of people and objects, expressive lines and bright colors - a unique message to the viewer, which he can decipher subjectively, taking into account his internal request and context. Thus, the “incoming message” from the artist becomes the key to starting the process of self-discovery.
This is how art teaches us to get to know ourselves and helps us find a unique key to the hidden meanings of our existence. It was very symbolic and right for me to open such an exhibition on my birthday. My journey of getting to know myself lasts a lifetime, and every year it reveals to me new amazing facets of my soul. Don't be afraid to open up to yourself. After all, it is this discovery that makes our lives truly meaningful and interesting.”
