Press release
On October 27, 2021, in the “Accepting the Future” space at VDNKh, ASKERI GALLERY artists Daniel Zakh and Gleb Skubachevsky presented their objects as part of the opening of the audiovisual installation “Portrait of a Generation,” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the publication BURO.
The audiovisual installation features eight artists from different disciplines. The installation is dedicated to finding and building environmentally friendly relationships with oneself and the world. Leading contemporary artists, directors, playwrights and composers took part in its creation.
Guests will be invited to take a journey through eight halls, the theme of which was created by director, Golden Mask 2020 nominee Alexander Sozonov, playwright Zhenya Berkovich and production designer Ruslan Martynov.
The “Dreams” and “Uniqueness” halls present abstract sculptures by Zaha Hadid’s workshop student Daniel Zakh and a video painting from the AES + F team - participants in the 52nd Venice Biennale and many international exhibitions.
The lounge area will feature works by Gleb Skubachevsky - in his paintings and sculptures the artist reflects on the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence, alien life and deep space exploration.
The exhibition will last until January 25, 2021 in Pavilion No. 2 at VDNH.
