Press release
On October 29, a new exhibition "COLLECTED WORLDS" opened at the ASKERI GALLERY, bringing together new works by famous Russian artists Alexei Golovin and Pavel Kiselev. The artistic methods of the two authors create a kind of dialogue in which a holistic portrait of a modern person is born, blurring the boundaries between digital reality and real life. We are also pleased to announce that, in response to the high public interest, it was decided to extend the exhibition of one of the most significant European masters, Aurel K. Basedow, whose works were first presented in Russia at the ASKERI GALLERY in October 2025.
Pavel Kiselev presented a new series of works "Hybrid Images", which explores the interaction of humans and technology. His paintings are born in a dialogue with artificial intelligence, but it is the artist who sets the direction of this dialogue — choosing from a variety of digital fragments that respond to his idea and sense of form. In the new series, Alexey Golovin continues to develop his unique self-tapping painting technique, combining metal and oil in a single plastic space. The black relief surfaces become a metaphor for matter — dense and earthy, and the oil-painted figures filled with starlight embody the light and breath of the universe. Aurel K. Basedow works with abstract compositions, turning chaotic overlapping of materials into transparent layered structures where every gesture and every pigment become part of a single rhythm.
"Chaos lives in each of us — in thoughts, feelings, in the very matter of life. This exhibition shows how art is able to hear this chaos, give it shape and rhythm, and transform it into a language accessible to the viewer. The works of Basedow, Gasumov and Sobolev become three different intonations of one big conversation about a person and his inner world. Their works remind us that chaos can be not only destruction, but also a source of energy, inspiration and harmony. It is important to me that it is through art that we learn to perceive the chaotic as a part of life and discover beauty in it."
