The new series of paintings follows up the topics initiated in the

«Artifacts», «Habitat» and «War of Worlds» projects. The artist

continues to study technological progress and its impact on the

lives of modern society as well as the transfer of our life into

virtual reality. This new series is a reflection on the ancient

symbolical meaning walls, which is conceived here as a way to

produce borders within a space.

Thinking of the actual meaning of this symbol, Polanski draws

our attention to its ambiguity: «The walls have always been

considered as an unapproachable barrier, although they did not

guarantee complete security and could be demolished. That is

why the walls are both a symbol of safety and vulnerability».

«Walls» is a visualization of how the Real and the Digital

intertwine in our daily life.
