The first art show DA!MOSCOW took place in Gostiny Dvor on May 16^th – 19^th, where  ASKERI GALLERY presented to the public the works of the famous Korean artist Kwan Young Chan, a young Russian sculptor Daniel Zakh and a young Russian artist Gleb Skubachevsky.

ASKERI GALLERY has prepared a special exhibition of contemporary works of art for visitors. The gallery presents a work from the famous series "Aggregation" of the outstanding artist Kwan Young Chan (South Korea) for the first time in Russia. Installations, assembled from miniature boxes covered with hieroglyphic mulberry paper, painted with tea pigments and paint, brought recognition to Chun in the late 90s. His abstract composition "Aggregation 17" will be the first close acquaintance of the Russian audience with the incredible world of paper installations and culture of South Korea, presented by Chun at the junction of traditions and modern vision of the world.

At the Da!Moscow fair the gallery introduces the first works of the Russian sculptor Daniel Zakh to the public. The peculiarity of Zakh’s art objects series "INFLOW" is his approach and method of creation: the artist programs the specificity, strength and direction of the impact of pre-selected flows on the material. This is reminiscent of natural phenomena that for centuries created canyons, forming unimaginable forms of stone cliffs or landscape of desert dunes. Working at Zaha Hadid Architects Studio in London helped Zakh to find his creative expression through logical thinking of shaping and the use of special software and coding to predict the result.

New works by Gleb Skubachevsky continue to acquaint the viewer with the world of bizarre bio forms and abstract monochrome pieces, started last year in the project ‘Anima Aliena’. This time the unifying motive is the influence of Russian avant-gardists, cubists and suprematists of the early 20th century on the development of world art, becoming the basis for the connection of modern culture and the artistic past. The artist himself called the reflection of this process in his work a state ‘In Regeneration’.

Texture and play with volume in the works of artists were emphasized by Askeri Gallery through the use of black as background color on the booth – this design solution has attracted the attention of art lovers.
