Signing up for a visit: https://askeri-gallery.timepad.ru/event/2315756/ For many years, the artist searched for himself and ultimately found a unique cultural code that he embodied in an incredible creative technique, combining the past, present, and future into a unified whole. Working with antique silk paper inscribed with memoirs, letters, and reports, Kwang Young Chun delicately but persistently raises questions about national identity, love for the motherland, and the importance of historical memory. The ASKERI GALLERY exhibition is dedicated to the search for oneself, one's own roots, belonging to the country and family in a much deeper sense than is usually discussed. The antique paper takes on new life, old hieroglyphs begin to tell new stories: about the world in which we live now, but which will one day also become history. In 2022, Kwang Young Chun's works were presented at the Venice Biennale. A separate pavilion was dedicated to the art objects, housed in one of the most beautiful Italian palaces, the Contarini Polignac. Now you have the opportunity to see these unique works of art in Moscow. These works were personally selected by Kwan Young Chun for presentation in our gallery.
